With its generous 92 cm working width, the Type 1100 is designed for fast and efficient collection of fallen apples and pears in orchards, farms and larger gardens. The wider collecting area allows significantly more ground to be covered with each pass, reducing the time and physical effort required during the harvesting season.
The machine uses height-adjustable stainless steel pin drums with approximately 25 × 28 mm pin spacing, making it suitable for apples and pears approximately 5–15 cm in diameter. Each collecting drum has its own individual suspension, allowing the drums to adjust independently to changes in ground level, uneven terrain and different fruit sizes.
As the machine is pushed across the orchard floor, the rotating drums lift the fruit from the ground and deposit it into the two removable 18-litre collection containers. With a total collection capacity of 36 litres, the Type 1100 can collect larger quantities of fruit before the containers need to be emptied.
A 360-degree steerable front wheel makes the Type 1100 easy to manoeuvre around trees, branches and small obstacles. The front wheel can also be anchored, providing additional stability when required. Large 24-inch solid rubber wheels support the machine and allow it to travel smoothly over orchard ground.
Both the steering handle and pin drums are height adjustable, allowing the machine to be set up for comfortable operation and suitable ground clearance. The simple manual design requires no fuel, electricity or batteries, making the Type 1100 a reliable and economical solution for seasonal fruit collection.
Whether you are producing apple juice, cider, perry, preserves or other fruit products, the Type 1100 helps reduce the repetitive bending and manual labour normally involved in collecting fallen fruit from the orchard floor.
