Plum & Small Fruit Collector – Type 1100M

The Type 1100M Plum & Small Fruit Collector is a robust, manually operated orchard tool designed for fast and efficient collection of plums, damsons, greengages, mirabelles, apricots and other smaller fallen fruit. With its generous 92 cm working width, it is ideal for larger orchards, farms, juice producers, preserve makers and estate owners who need to collect significant quantities of fruit quickly while reducing bending and manual picking.

The machine uses two individually suspended stainless steel pin drums with approximately 20 × 22 mm pin spacing. The finer spacing allows the Type 1100M to collect smaller fruit from approximately 25 mm in diameter, while also making it suitable for smaller apples and pears.

Each pin drum adjusts independently to changes in ground level and different fruit sizes. The drums are also height adjustable, helping the collector work effectively across uneven orchard ground and varying terrain.

As the Type 1100M is pushed across the orchard floor, the rotating drums lift the fallen fruit and guide it into two removable 18-litre collection containers. With a total collection capacity of 36 litres, large quantities of fruit can be gathered before the containers need to be emptied.

A 360-degree steerable front wheel makes the collector easy to manoeuvre around trees, branches and small obstacles. The front wheel can also be anchored when required, while the large 24-inch solid rubber tyres provide stability and dependable operation over orchard ground.

The height-adjustable steering handle allows the machine to be set up comfortably for different users. Because the Type 1100M is entirely manually operated, it requires no fuel, electricity or batteries, making it a straightforward, economical and low-maintenance solution for collecting fallen fruit.

Whether the fruit is intended for jam, preserves, juice, fruit wine, cider, perry or distilling, the Type 1100M significantly reduces the time and physical effort normally required to gather smaller fruit from the ground.
